The Federation of Maharashtra State Branches of the Association of Otorhinolaryngologists of India (FMSB AOI) is the collective body representing all Ear, Nose, Throat and Head & Neck Surgeons across the state of Maharashtra.
Established in 1966, the Federation was founded with a vision to bring together ENT specialists under one platform dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, skill and collaboration in the field of otorhinolaryngology.
In 1967, a small group of committed ENT surgeons initiated the first state-level meeting, marking the beginning of what has now evolved into an enduring annual tradition. These gatherings have since served as a forum for academic deliberation, professional development and exchange of new ideas to ensure that ENT services across Maharashtra remain of the highest standard.
FMSB AOI continues to foster a spirit of learning and innovation, offering opportunities for young and budding ENT surgeons to explore emerging sub-specialties and engage with the latest trends, technologies and research in the field.
MAHARASHTRA STATE ENT CONFERENCE
The Maharashtra State ENT Conference (MENTCON) is the annual academic and scientific meeting of the FMSB AOI.
Hosted each year by one of the 16 regional branches on a fixed rotational basis, MENTCON brings together ENT and Head & Neck Surgeons from across Maharashtra for a vibrant exchange of knowledge, experience and innovation.
The conference serves as a platform for academic sessions, surgical workshops, panel discussions and research presentations that showcase the latest advancements in the field of otorhinolaryngology. It provides a valuable opportunity for senior consultants, practicing surgeons and postgraduate students to engage in meaningful scientific dialogue and skill enhancement.
